Cancelled plans

Day 92.

Dealing with cancelled plans is really tough. In general I do not like it when plans change. Cardiac sarcoidosis has tested my limits on this to a whole new level.

Go with the flow is my new life motto. This can be tough for someone like me who likes to plan ahead and know what is coming up day to day and week to week.

My latest hospital visit has lead to the cancellation of a planned trip away for the weekend to explore the last of the snow on the North Island of New Zealand. It was meant to be time spent as a family, staying on a little farm close to Mount Ruapehu. There was going to be a wood fired outdoor hot tub. There was going to be snow boarding. There was going to be a visit to the army museum. There was going to be fun! Sigh.

I have also had to reschedule a number of customer and partner meetings at work, which I was just getting back into the swing of.

And my biggest fear... we have a long planned for and looked forward to trip overseas planned for the December and January holidays this year. We haven't seen our friends and family since before COVID-19 restrictions kicked in. My biggest fear is that my health is not stable enough to actually go ahead with this trip. There does seem to be an awful lot of unplanned medical activities at the minute.

It just all sucks, really. Any advice on how to get better at living with all this uncertainty?
