Short, but painful

Day 652.
I was sitting on our couch after getting home from work when it happened.
Suddenly I had the feeling of a wave washing over me. It started on the crown of my head, washed over face, my shoulders and the rest of my body. It's hard to describe, but I guess it was somewhere between a prickly sensation and the feeling of blushing.
Immediately my heart was racing. I was short of breath. I felt dizzy and almost a bit nauseous. I just knew it was an arrhythmia.
When I ran an ECG on my Fitbit Charge, I saw a burst of irregular heart beats.

Luckily it stoped within a minute. I didn't feel any pacing from my ICD. Possibly it just resolved on it's own. I expect I will receive a phone call in the morning from the ICD tech team after they review my device monitoring in the morning. Hopefully I will know more then.
To me the rhythm looks like an SVT arrhythmia. I have had one before, but not as painful and lasting a few days that time.
Based on the Fitbit ECG it would have been about 150 beats per minute. I can't remember if that's within my new ICD pacing zone or not. Time to look back at my previous blog.
Afterwards I realised that I had not taken my medication in the morning. That explained the pounding feeling I had earlier that afternoon and perhaps the arrhythmia too. Never before had not taking my medication in time resulted in something like this before.
It's the weirdest thing to go through something like that and then having to carry on with a normal routine. I made supper. I sat with my son. I watched some television to keep my mind off it.
It was hard to fall asleep though.
